Urban Power Ride – Legal Notice & Liability Release

This Legal Notice applies to all electric bikes, electric scooters, and mobility products (“Products”) sold by Urban Power Ride (“the Company”).

By purchasing, owning, or using any Product from Urban Power Ride, the customer (“Rider”) acknowledges and agrees to the following:


Assumption of Risk

Riding electric bikes and electric scooters involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Collisions

  • Falls

  • Loss of control

  • Mechanical failure

  • Terrain hazards

  • Weather conditions

  • Battery‑related risks

  • Fire or electrical hazards

  • Property damage

  • Serious injury or death

The Rider voluntarily assumes full responsibility for all risks associated with the use, operation, charging, storage, and transportation of the Product.


Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Rider agrees that Urban Power Ride, its owners, employees, affiliates, and suppliers shall not be held liable for:

  • Injuries

  • Accidents

  • Death

  • Property damage

  • Medical costs

  • Losses or expenses

  • Damages arising from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions

This includes incidents resulting from:

  • Unsafe riding behavior

  • Riding under the influence

  • Failure to wear protective gear

  • Ignoring traffic laws

  • Riding in prohibited areas

  • Exceeding weight limits

  • Unauthorized modifications

  • Improper assembly

  • Improper charging or battery handling

The Rider waives the right to bring any claim or lawsuit against Urban Power Ride related to Product use.


No Warranty Provided

Urban Power Ride sells all Products as‑is and provides no warranty of any kind.

Manufacturer warranties (if any) are separate and must be handled directly with the manufacturer.

Rider Responsibility

The Rider agrees to:

  • Wear a certified helmet

  • Use proper safety gear

  • Follow all local, state, and federal laws

  • Inspect the Product before each ride

  • Ride responsibly and within their skill level

  • Charge and store batteries safely

  • Keep the Product away from children

  • Not operate the Product under the influence

Failure to follow these responsibilities voids any implied liability of Urban Power Ride.


Battery Safety Disclaimer

Lithium‑ion batteries can be dangerous if misused. The Rider acknowledges that improper charging, storage, or handling may result in:

  • Fire

  • Explosion

  • Burns

  • Property damage

  • Injury or death

Legal Compliance

The Rider is solely responsible for understanding and complying with:

  • Local e‑bike/e‑scooter laws

  • Speed limits

  • Helmet requirements

  • Age restrictions

  • Registration rules (if applicable)

Urban Power Ride is not responsible for legal violations.


Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or using any Product from Urban Power Ride, the Rider confirms that they:

  • Have read and understood this Legal Notice

  • Accept all risks associated with Product use

  • Release Urban Power Ride from liability

  • Agree to operate the Product safely and responsibly
